The vacation house check program is a service offered by the Harrison Township Police Department. While you are on vacation or away from home for an extended period, at your request, a HTPD officer will check on your home periodically, as call volume and staffing permit. In order to do this, there are a number of things we need to know. By completing the form that follows, you will provide us with the requisite information needed to accomplish your house check. Should there be a problem at your residence, an officer will contact the emergency number provided to resolve the issue. Please note we usually conduct random visual checks of your house as to prevent unwanted attention to your residence while you're gone. However, if you want officers to physically check doors and windows, you must note that request and any other pertinent information relative to your extended leave (i.e. visitors/vehicles at residence/lights on timer/etc...) in the comment section. Lastly, if you return early or your leave is extended, please update the department accordingly.
